Albury singer-songwriter Toby Mobbs will be on the road for another national tour this October to promote his second album ‘In Between The Words’.
This tour will cover 15,000km in the car over 28 days and will see Mobbs playing a show in every state and territory. This tour will feature local original support acts for each show, Matt Cross on keys for select shows, and end with Toby being backed by the Moodemere Quartet for his hometown show to close the journey.

From the 90s rock throwback of ‘Run Back To You’, the balanced softness of ‘Same’, the anthemic rise of the first single ‘Coming Back To Me’, to what can only be described as a night at the opera with the final track ‘Surrender’, ‘In Between The Words’ showcases what Toby Mobbs can bring to the table in the indie landscape. Mobbs has brought a wealth of talent along with him from almost a full orchestra, a wide range of vocalists, and even Gang of Youths’ own drummer, Donnie Borzestowski. In a time where independent releases can fly under the radar, this isn’t one to sleep on and deserves a listen.

Toby Mobbs is a librarian by day and pop-folk singer-songwriter by night. Mobbs has sought to carve a unique music style both live and in the studio by incorporating thick, dynamic, and rhythmic guitar, warm vocals, and introspective lyrical storytelling. When not in his hometown of Albury NSW, you will find him traveling around Australia finding new towns and audiences to connect with, providing insight into the stories behind the music, and promoting his latest studio releases.

While Toby has been labelled one of the hardest working independent touring musicians in the country, and having supported the likes of Thirsty Merc, Josh Pyke, and Winterbourne, his studio recordings shine a different light to his stripped back performances on stage. These recordings break far away from the solo artist typecast, showcasing a unique interpretation of the many musical genres that inspire his writing.
